CM encourages state doctors on Doctors' Day

Imphal, July 02 2021:
Chief Minister N Biren has honoured and encouraged doctors for their contribution in the fight against Covid-19 and service to humanity on the occasion of Doctors' Day held at Hotel Classic, Imphal on Thursday evening.
While acknowledging and appreciating the contributions made by doctors in the fight against the pandemic, Biren said that the government is putting its best efforts to fight the pandemic under the aegis of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mass vaccination programmes are one of the top priority areas and measures are being taken up to stop activities of spreading rumours, he said, while urging for public support.
BJP state president A Sarda also hailed the role of doctors in the service of humanity and fighting Covid while urging party leaders and workers to extend full cooperation to doctors.
RIMS director A Shanta, JNIMS director Th Bhimo and 34 other doctors with distinguished service records were honoured on the occasion.
BJP national general secretary BL Santosh, spokesperson Sambit Patra and secretary (organisation) Ajay Jamwal were also present at the event.
