Bail for two, remand for another

Duty Magistrate Imphal West on Friday ordered the release of two accused who were arrested from Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) campus with bogus appointment letters on June 28 on their execution of a PR bond and remanded one accused to judicial custody.
Wangkheimayum Boy, Aribam Rajo Sharma and Hanjabam Gourachandra Sharma were produced before the Court after the completion of their four days police remand along with a prayer for remanding them to judicial custody.
On the other hand, defense counsel of the accused filed a remand objection along with a prayer to release them on bail.
The IO of the case through APP submitted that all the three accused were arrested based on a complaint lodged by the Administrative Officer of RIMS.
The IO further submitted that Wangkheimayum Boy with two other persons Mayengbam Premkumar and Jiten prepared the fake documents and handed them over to Aribam Rajo Sharma and Hanjabam Gourachandra.
It is further submitted that police are on the hunt to arrest Premkumar and Jiten.
The Court on perusal of case record and the material produced admitted that Wangkheimayum Boy received Rs 30 thousand from Aribam Rajo Sharma and Hanjabam Gourachandra Sharma for the bogus appointment.
The Court then ordered to release Aribam Rajo Sharma and Hanjabam Gourachandra on bail of Rs 30 thousand PR Bond and surety of the same amount and directed to cooperate with the IO of the case during investigation.
Further, the Court remanded Wangkheimayum Boy to judicial custody till July 16 .
