State trio held in Assam with heroin

Imphal, July 02 2021:
Three state natives have been arrested by a team of Karbianglong police station in Assam with Heroin on Thursday night.
The arrested persons are identified as Kh Suresh Khan (35) son of Md Abdul Shah, Lourembam Shamu Singh (46) son of Tomba and Md Bishabauddin (32) son of Md Isaluddin.
All of them are from Kwakta while Suresh Khan and Shamu are drivers of night super passenger bus MN-01-1938 .
According to police source, a team of Karbianglong PS opened a check post in front of Lahorijan PS after getting specific information about ferrying of drugs and checked all the passenger buses coming from Manipur.
The police team checked night super passenger bus MN-01-1938 and found 32 soap caps containing 400.3gm Heroin.
In another operation, the police team found another consignment 257.83gm of Heroin.
During initial interrogation, the arrested people revealed that the drugs were brought from Manipur and they were taking it to Shillong.
