Imphal, July 02 2021:
The K.uki Students Organisation (KSO) of Tengnoupal District appealed to all concerned not to hinder the Cabinet's decision regarding peace and development at Saivom Village.
In a press release, the KSO, Tengnoupal district thanked Chief Minister N Biren Singh and his Cabinet Ministers for approving the construction of 11th IRB Headquarters at Saivom village on June 23 .
However KSO expressed concern on the opinion of some anonymous persons with vested interests claiming to speak on behalf of Aimol Tribe Union, Aimol Students Union and Aimol Women Union by creating misunderstanding among the communities regarding the Cabinet's decision on a video conference at TOM TV News and some local news agencies on June 29 .
KSO maintained that since the creation of Tengnoupal district, the Deputy Commissioner in succession surveyed the land for the said purpose in consultation with the Chief of Saivom as the geographical area of the proposed site falls under the jurisdiction of the village and the same was sent by the DC concerned for its approval and stated that there is no need to consult with Aimols regarding the same.
Further KSO urged the Government to execute other developmental programmes and projects at Saivom village apart from the construction of 11th IRB Headquarters and also to take up developmental projects and infrastructure in Tengnoupal as required for a district.
