The proscribed KYKL today pulled up two impostors for extorting money in its money by using fake letter heads and forged signatures.
The two were shot on their legs as punishment.
Speaking to the press somewhere at Imphal East today, the assistant central administrative officer of the outfit, Santa, said that the two used fake letter heads which were printed at Unit Q Computer Printing Centre, Pungdongbam.
Using the fake letter heads the two impostors served a demand note of Rs 60,000 to one Yaikhom Ranbir, a rice mill owner of Yorbung.
The two impostors were identified as Seram Angousana (23) of Yorbung Mayai Leikai and Sapam Jonjon alias Sanayamba.
The outfit has also warned one Th Ranbir, involved in printing the fake letter heads to surrender to KYKL within three days or else he would be awarded capital punishment.
The computer used to print the fake letter heads has also been impounded, he informed and warned that all impostors who are using fake letter heads of the outfit to extort money should mend their ways immediately.
If anyone does not heed the warning then stern punishment would be given, he added.
