Kakching, November 11 2021:
As harvesting activities picked up across the state, the cycle patrol team of Kakching district police has instructed tractor/vehicle owners and drivers to take up necessary arrangements to ensure that no muddy trails are left on the roads while indulging in Harvesting activities.
According to SP (Kakching) Victoria Yengkhom, muddy trails are often left on the roads by tractors and other vehicles during harvesting season resulting in causing difficulties to the commuters.
Apart from possible road accidents when the muds are wet, they also make the road dusty when dried up and pose serious threat to motorists.
The initiative was taken up to prevent such mishaps and inconveniences, she said, while appealing to drivers and farm owners to remove mud on the wheels before reaching the roads from the fields.
