Meanwhile, SL Pahen, a member of the Phoipi village authority claimed that Seigoulun Singsit, one of the trio arrested in connection with the B Gamnom killing is a bonafide resident of Phoipi village and he has never been out of the village this year, He also asserted that the village authority and the villagers can prove and provide evidence that he has no connection with the infamous B Gamnom killing.
Henkai Singsit, one of the family members of the trio reiterated the innocence of the arrested trio and claimed that they are innocent civilians but they are incarcerated by the Manipur Police Commandos with fabricated charges.
"As we know and have evidence that they [the trio] are innocent civilians who have no connection at all with the B Gamnom killing, we sell our properties and disposed of our goods to pursue the matter since we are from a very poor background family", he asserted.
