Night football: Young Guns, CFC, TSC enter round of 22

Young Gun's Haipi, Chavang FC, and Thadou Sporting Club made it to the round of 22 in the ongoing Kuki Football Academy's Open Night Football Tournament after beating their respective opponents on Wednesday night at D Phaihel village.
In the first match, Young Gun's Haipi had a narrow 3-2 win over LMT Gampum to earn their place in the round of 22.Kamkalthang (37th), Tinhao (49th-P) and Khaigunhao (52nd) scored for the Haipi side while Satboineo (21st-P) and Lunjakai (74th) scored for the Gampum side.
The winners of the second match between LMT Chalwa and Chavang FC was decided via tie penalty kicks after both teams played a 2-2 draw.
Chavang FC won the match 5-4 in the penalty shoutout.
During the normal time, Mangginthang (8th, 49th) scored for the Chalwa side while Seigourhang (60th) and Kamgougin (70th) scored for Chavang FC.
In the third match, debutants Thadou Sporting Club had an easy 4-1 win over KAFT to maintain their unbeaten record in the tournament.
KAFT had an early lead when their captain Thangboi found the net with his brilliant strike in the 9th minute but it was the Thadou Sporting Club who dominated the game and found the equaliser through Sehgouthang in the 26th minute before he added two goals in the 29th and 33rd minutes, with S Lhouvum's goal in the 41st minute to win the game and sail through to the round of 22.The organising committee has been conducting Luckiest Fan' entertainment programme since the knockout round, choosing one fan among many others who fulfils the criteria to be the luckiest fan and presenting him/her with the Kuki Football Academy's official T-Shirt.
Apart from conducting the luckiest fan event, the committee has also conducted interaction with fans and team captain to entertain and gain more attraction from the audience.
