Thoubal, May 13 2021:
Various organisations particularly Muslim bodies have urged followers of Islam to celebrate the auspicious Eid-ul-Fitr in a humble manner with strict adherence to SOP guidelines laid down for containing the spread of Covid-19 in the state.
Speaking to media persons, Madrassa Darul-Ullum Markaz, Lilong ustad Alhaj Moulana Muheiyuddin, who is also AN-JUMAN co-ordinator, urged the followers of Islam to avoid mass gathering for this year's Eid-ul-fitr festival.
As offering of prayers at Idgah is not convenient, Al-haj urged the people to offer prayers at their own homes by clubbing four-five people and further exhorted all to remain indoors.
Meanwhile, All Kwakta Covid-19 Task Force and Jamita Ul Ulema, Bishnupur also urged all concerned to make the festival a family affair and offer prayers in a proper place with strict adherence to SOP guidelines.
There is no hard and fast rule that prayers should be offered only in mosques.
So, four-five places in a locality should be organised for offering prayer, it added.
Moreover, households in containment zone areas should offer their prayer in their respective houses, the release continued, while cautioning that the responsibility for violating Covid-19 SOP guidelines should be borne by the individuals concerned.
