Polling conducted peacefully in Andro AC

Thoubal, February 28 2022:
Polling was held peacefully in 44 polling stations of Andro assembly constituency which has total number of 35,507 voters on Monday.
Former minister and BJP' candidate in Andro AC Th Shyamkumar cast his vote at Angtha Primary School (Block B) around 7:50 am after start of polling got delayed for some time due EVM malfunction.
Speaking to some newspersons, Shyamkumar opined that overall Andro AC was free from any serious election-related violence.
Most of the incidents happened due to some private individuals, he claimed.
However, NPP's L Sanjoy regretted that few incidents of poll violence happened.
On the other hand, Congress candidate KN Singh told the media persons that with the exception of reports of distribution of money at Polling Station 7/24, Top Chingtha Laimanai Tampak Thongkhong and Polling Station 7/25, Top Chingtha, A1 Sacred Heart English School, polling was held smoothly in the AC.
He also urged the ECI to look into the polling process in these polling stations.
All three candidates exuded confidence that they will win with huge margin.
