Imphal, September 30 2022:
While stating that major communities of the state should desist from any activities and act intended to subjugate the minorities, United Committee Manipur (UCM) president K Joychandra asserted that the Committee will always stand for the minority communities.
According to a statement, UCM and Agriculture Department jointly organised a "One-Day Farmers' Training Programme on Rejuvenation of Farm Economy and Distribution of Nursery fish" at Purum Likli community hall on Friday with Joychandra as chief guest, Purum Likli village chief S Rinneichong as president and Purum Riem Council secretary S Joseph as guest of honour.
In his speech, Joychandra encouraged the farmers attending the training programme to apply the knowledge and inputs gained in agricultural practices, thereby helping the state to become self-sustainable and make known all over world.
Joychandra further invited all concerned to approach UCM for relevant information about government welfare schemes, while adding that we all are one entity and should work together to protect and develop Manipur to its best state.
As part of the programme, around 5000 fingerlings were distributed to the attending farmers.
