Constructive criticisms always welcome: Governor

Manipur Governor La Ganesan on Monday visited Tengnoupal district HQ and Moreh town and interacted with district level officers and members of different CSOs of the district.
During his visit, the Governor said that the main objective of his interaction with the people is to know the ground realities, adding that constructive criticisms of the government's performance are always welcome for improvement of governance.
He also said that he is always already to hear the grievances of the people and will try to address them as far as possible.
The governor, after hearing the report presented by the deputy commissioner of Tengnoupal, stressed the need for focusing more on cleanliness and the importance of vaccination against the Corona virus.
He urged the people of the district to shun vaccine hesitation and get vaccinated, explaining that it is the only way to defeat the virus and to put an end to the pandemic.
La Ganesan was enchanted by the beauty of the district and the cultural shows which showcased a basket full of grains and traditional hunting weapons.
He said that he found three very significant things amongst the people here, elaborating that the people of the district are very hard working, always vigilant and ready to protect their families and the country, and are always happy.
The governor also praised Manipur for its art and culture and sports, and commended for being one of the states which sends maximum numbers of players in the recent Olympics.
Ganesan also visited and offered prayers at the temple of Shree Angala Parameshwari and Shree Muneeshwarar at Moreh.
He then had a meeting with functionaries of Tamil Sangam and also interacted with CSOs of Moreh town.
