Many candidates to miss Hindi teachers' recruitment

Even though notification for recruitment of 449 posts of Hindi primary teachers in the state education department (S) had already been issued on October 15, many candidates are likely to miss the recruitment and left disheartened due to untimely conduct of examination due to COVID-19 pandemic and non-promotion.
Education Department issued a notification on October 15 for recruitment of 449 posts of Hindi primary teacher which include 226 posts for unreserved, 56 posts for OBC (Meitei), 18 posts for OBC (Meitei Pangal), two for OBC (Others), eight for SC and 139 posts for ST.
As per the notification, one time relaxation is being allowed to apply for the recruitment without passing TET exam but eligibility criteria for professionalqualiftcation mentioned that the candidate should have passed BEd or its equivalent or Hindi Shikshya Paragat or DLD.
But the final year examinations for both Hindi Shikshya Paragat and DLD are yet to be conducted despite the lapse of time due to COVID-19 pandemic and hence many candidates with not be able to apply for the posts.
Some candidates informed The People's Chronicle that final year examinations for Hindi Shikshya Paragat and DLD are yet to be conducted since the past one year and this will prevent many candidates from applying for the posts.
Both governments of India and Manipur had allowed conduct of examinations through online or promoted class X and class XII examination candidates.
However, there has been no arrangement to conduct final year examinations for Hindi Shikshya Paragat and DLD through online or promotion though actual time for conduct of the exam has lapsed.
As per the recruitment notification, candidates who are yet to give final examinations for Hindi Shikshya Paragat and DLD are not eligible to apply for the posts and hence many candidates would not be able to apply for the Hindi primary teachers recruitment, the candidates said and demanded that authorities concerned should make immediate arrangement for conduct of all examinations which are yet to be conducted so far or take steps for promotion based on past academic performances.
The candidates also urged authority concerned to allow candidates who are yet to give final year Hindi Shikshya Paragat and DLD exams to join the recruitment or defer the recruitment till declaration of results for final year Hindi Shikshya Paragat and DLD exams.
