Churachandpur Scribes interact with Chief Minister

In response to an invitation by the chief minister of Manipur for an advanced Christmas and new year courtesy call, a team of select mediapersons based in Churachandpur who covered the news of his recent visit to Pherzawl in Tipaimuk Sub- Division met the chief minister at the latter's office today.
During the informal meeting, the CM interacted with the scribes on diverse issues relating to the fast tract development works taken up in the education and health sector in hills.
On the question of the setting up of a Hill university, the CM said that it will be done soon and the location for the university has been earmarked at two or three places, but it will be decided based on the interest of the people.

The CM added that Thanlon A/C MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Mr Vungzagin Valte and himself took active interest in the effort for 'equal development for hills and valley' .
On the resent failure to inaugurate the 33/11 KV at Pherzawl village, the CM expressed confidence that Thanlon and Tipaimuk assembly constituencies will get power supply latest by the first month of next year.
In reply to the media query, O Ibobi stated that the decision on ADC elections will be finalized after the monsoon season.
Saying that the main focus of the administration is on Health, power connectivity and drinking water for all, Ibobi assured the scribes that Thanlon will have 100 plus KV station and a new substation will be set up at Moreh at the tune of 132/33 KV.
