National Integration Camp inaugurated

Imphal, February 26 2012:
A six-day National Integration Camp under the aegis of NYK, Senapati was inaugurated today at the Training Hall of Directorate of Art and Culture, Palace Compound.
Around 150 youth from Nagaland, Assam, Bihar, Mizoram, West Bengal and from different districts of the State have participated in the camp, according to a statement.
The inaugural function was attended by PK Jha, DC of Senapati, L Sudhajit Singh, DYA & Sports Officer, Senapati, and Jackie Ruivah, Zonal Director, NYKS Imphal Zone as the chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
Proposing the welcome address, K Kumar Singh, DYC, NYK Senapati emphasised nation building and brotherhood among the people of the country.
He said the camp has been aimed to create a nationwide opportunities for the youth of the country and to promote national unity, peace and brotherhood for a stronger nation.
The inaugural function was also marked by colourful performance of folk dance and song by youth from Nagaland; martial art show by youth from Imphal and enchanting melody presentation by artistes of the Song and Drama Division, Imphal.
The camp would be held till March 2, it added.
