Session begins with obituary reference

Imphal, June 26 2015 :
The 11th session of the Tenth Manipur Legislative Assembly began on Friday.
The 15-day long session will have eleven sittings.
On the first day, the Assembly paid homage to late former MLA Haobam Bhubon of Singjamei constituency.
Haobam Bubhon passed away on May 21 last.
All the members of the House observed a two-minute standing-silence as a mark of respect to him.
As a part of the obituary reference, leader of the House and Chief Minister O Ibobi said that Haobam Bhubon's death is a great loss to the State.
He added that since Bhubon was also a retired Army officer, he showed great discipline, self-respect and integrity during his reign as a people's representative.
Trinamool Congress MLAs Dr I Ibohalbi and Th Shyamkumar, and NCP MLA L Ibomcha and Speaker Th Lokeshwar also spoke in fond memory of late Bhubon.
Speaker Th Lokeshwar prayed for peace for the departed soul.
Later, O Ibobi presented the 4th Report of the Business Advisory Committee 2015 in the House.
