Relief items, immune-booster medicine distributed

Relief assistance to households in containment zones continue to be distributed by various people on Wednesday.
Intending candidate from Langthabal assembly constituency and BJP Manipur Pradesh state secretary Pukhrambam Somojit Singh, MSME National Board member Robin Blackie, BJP Manipur Pradesh State Council member and Covid 2nd Wave Fighting Task Force Lamlai Mandal chairman Khongbantabam Ibomcha and intending candidate from Keirao AC Toijam Devananda provided edible items to families in containment zones of Langthabal, Lamlai and Keirao ACs respectively.
Social and Cultural Development Centre Wangjing distributed edible items to households in containment zones in areas enclosed by it from its Covid Care Fund on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, ETA: NorthEast Women's Network Group formed by women settling outside North East states, especially from Manipur began distribution of immune boosting medicines to people belonging to weaker sections of the society in various parts of the state.
On the first day of distribution, medicines were handed over to 200 beneficiaries in Wangjing, Khongjom, Ka-kching, Liwa and Keibung villages.
The medicines mainly consist of ginseng, multi-vitamin, multi-minerals, anti-oxidants, etc, and have been distributed after consultation with doctors.
Toubul Gram Panchayat under the aegis of former MLA Dr Dr I Ibohanbi also distributed essential items and cash amount of Rs 100 to families in containment zones of Toubul, Khoijuman and other places under Oinam AC on Wednesday.
Eteen Computerised Eye Testing and Eye Care Centre, Thoubal Bazar proprietor Mai-bam Eteen on Wednesday met 160 police personnel working in various parts of Kakching district and provided them with masks, sanitizers, eye safe guard goggles and edibles.
He also visited JNV Sandumba Achouba Umathel Community Home Isolation Centre and distributed 200 masks and numerous hand sanitizers to the volunteers working there.
Social worker K Jadumani also provided edibles to people in containment zones of Wangkhem and Heirok ACs on Wednesday.
On the other hand, Manipur Legislative Assembly deputy speaker and Mayang Imphal MLA Kongkham Robindro on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr extended his greetings as well as presented edible items to 5000 Muslim households in his constituency.
The edibles were handed over to families at their doorstep by BJP Mayang Imphal Mandal and his workers while adhering to Covid-19 SOPs.
Hiyanglam Dr Radheshy-am Yumnam also presented face masks and edible items to Muslims in his AC on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, while appealing to them to celebration the festival while adhering to Covid-19 SOPs.
Wangmayum Youth Development Society (WYDS) on Wednesday distributed aid to 50 families belonging to weaker sections of society including widows in connection with celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.
