Imphal, May 12 2021:
Claiming that beneficiaries of NFSA and PMGKAY at Wangkhei Kendra are not getting their due share of rice due to certain issues, Corporator of IMC Ward no 26 Meibon Phaomei has drawn the attention of the State Government for immediate intervention.
Briefing journalists virtually today, Meibon said that the beneficiaries of the Assembly segment are deprived of their rice during this challenging period as the issue concerning the hiring of FPS agents has surfaced.
Continuing that beneficiaries of several Assembly segments in Imphal East have already received their share of rice, he asked when the people of Wangkhei will get their share.
Now is not the time to replace FPS agents, Meibon contended and asserted that such a hasty effort to hire new agents is taking a toll on the people of the Assembly Constituency who are equally hit hard by the pandemic.
If the issue is not resolved, beneficiaries in this Assembly segment might be deprived of their due share of rice for a longer period, he asserted and urged Chief Minister N Biren Singh and the Minister concerned to look into the matter at the earliest.
