Bishnupur plans second CCC in district

In view of the current spike of COVID-19 cases, Bishnupur district administration has taken up necessary steps to open a second Covid Care Centre in the district at Mangolnganbi College, Ningthoukhong.
In a meeting held in this regard at the conference hall of the New Secretariat Building, deputy commissioner Krishna Kumar assigned various departments their respective roles in setting up of the new Covid Care Centre.
Accordingly, MSPDCL was advised to fix power connection and ensure uninterrupted power supply at the new CCC and the executive officer, Ningthoukhong entrusted to ensure regular water supply and also to provide a clean compound before setting up the new centre.
Similar, PHED Bishnupur has been directed to construct doffing room adjacent to the exit gate of the hall in consultation with the chief medical officer to minimise the risk of disease transmission and also to construct temporary toilets if required.
The DC also ordered the PHED to provide plastic water tanks at the new CCC and the PWD to construct barricades and fences at the entrance of the new CCC and inside as per requirements.
Moreover, CMO's office will oversee disposal of biomedical waste as per permissible guidelines of bio-waste management in co-ordination with EO Ningthoukhong Municipal Council.
The CMO's office will also depute doctors, nurses, and other medical staff on duty for CCC and shall also assess the requirements of beds with other infrastructures to establish the CCC.
Further, the DC instructed Bishnupur district police authorities to make necessary security arrangement at the CCC and compliance with COVID-19 SOPs.
