CM inaugurates Wangoi Sub-Treasury office

Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh inaugurated a sub-treasury office building at the complex of Wagoi SDO office under Imphal West district on Friday and dedicated to the denizens of Wangoi sub-division.
Speaking on the occasion, Ibobi said that the newly opened sub-treasury office will cater service to the populace of Wangoi sub-division, especially to the state Government employees and retired individuals.
He also assured that the Government was making efforts to set up a SBI branch office at Wangoi to ensure smooth transaction of money in the sub-treasury office.
He said the people of the area can also obtain non-judicial stamp at the office and hence it would not be necessary for them to move to far places like Cheirap Court, Imphal in search out of it.
"We've a waiting shed too at the office complex where elderly people can take fresh air at least for some moment whenever they visit it," the Chief Minister said.
However, Ibobi credited the sub-treasury office building to former chief minister late Wahengbam Nipamacha who took up initiative to establish it during his tenure.
The Chief Minister at the occasion also handed out Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) to two pensioners.
Works minister Dr Kh Ratankumar, several MLAs and Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West, K Radhakumar were also present at the occasion.
