KSO warns to intensify stir

Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) Chandel has threatened to launch intensified agitations after the State Government has failed to translate their demands into action.
Informing the media persons, Doumang Haokip, President of KSO Chandel District said that the joint meeting of KSO Chandel and Education Minister in presence of the Local MLA was held on Thursday.
Doumang said that the meeting could not bring an agreement on their demand and the organization has resolved to take up strong from of agitations including prohibition of Government officials' vehicles along the Imphal-Moreh road.
The KSO President also threatened to launch hill districts bandh if the State Government and responsible authority fails to give positive response at the earliest.
It may be mentioned that the Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) enforced indefinite bandh along the Imphal-Moreh section of National Highway-102 from November 14 last against shifting of 2nd Year Examination Centre for the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), Tengnoupal BRC IGNOU Study Centre.
