Meiraba Luwang win U-15 Boys' Single

Imphal, November 19 2015:
Meiraba Luwang became the first Manipuri lad to win the under-15 boy's single category at the national sub junior badminton championship after defeating India number 1 ranked Akash Yadav of Delhi at the 29th All India Sub Junior National Badminton Championships 2015 held at Vishakhapatnam.
Meiraba beat Akash in straight games 28-26, 21-17 .

Meiraba got a bye in the 1st round.
He defeated Gujarat's Bhabin Karamchanani 21-9, 21-4 in the second round.
In the third round, Meiraba beat Andhra Pradesh's Chndraj Patnaik 21-14, 21-3.He also thrashed Uttrakhand's Drew Rawat in the 4th round 21-9, 11-1 .
In the Quarter Finals, Assam's Imam Sonowal was outclassed by Meiraba 21-17, 14-21, 21-12 and beat Pranay of Andra Pradesh (21-19, 21-17) in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, in the Boy's Double U-13 final, Manipur's Bidyasagar Salam and Punsiba Yenkhom were defeated by India Rank 2 Jayant Rana/Vikash Yadav pair to be placed in the Runners' up position.
