Imphal, February 05 2014:
Coming down heavily on the Congress led Government in the State for not doing justice to their demand for implementation of 6th Pay Commission to the workers of Imphal Municipal Council (IMC) even though the indefinite cease work strike launched in connection with the demand has entered 49 days, the Joint Co-ordination Committee of Imphal Municipal Employees' Union and All Manipur Municipalities Workers Union has lamented that it has lost faith in the Congress Government.
Speaking to media persons, Ph Chaoba, publicity secretary of the JCC, said the strike was started since December 17 but the Government has not given any attention.
This is very unfortunate and unacceptable.
He charged Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, who also holds the portfolio of MAHUD, with failure to address the grievances of the IMC employees for long time, saying that the CM has got no time to meet the employees, so how can he solved the matter.
