Imphal, December 03 2013:
Ahead of the Christmas festival, Officer-in-charge of Keithelmanbi police outpost LS Anal today organised a get together function with chiefs and leaders of villages located within the police outpost's jurisdiction.
Incidentally, LS Anal was posted at the outpost recently.
Chief and leaders who attended the function appreciated the OC's efforts aimed at maintaining a healthy relationship between police and public.
Speaking at the function, OC LS Anal called upon the people to suggest development works that may be taken up in Keithelmanbi area.
Higher authorities would be consulted to translate into action people's primary aspirations, he assured.
Noting the need for opening a fire service station and a bank at Keithelmanbi, LS Anal underscored the importance of promoting horticulture and agriculture in the area.
Keithelmanbi is inhabited by different communities and UG cadres are also present.
"Let them stay.
Police and people can collectively fight all anti-social elements", the OC stated.
Development and violence cannot go together.
Those elements who commit subversive activities come here only once, commit crimes and go away.
It is the civilians who face troubles in such cases.
Anti-social elements should be punished collectively irrespective of whichever community he/she belongs to, LS Anal added.
