Lectures on tricolour, anti-drug held

Mantripukhri Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a lecture on awareness about the Indian National Flag at Company Operating Base Singjamei in Imphal West on Saturday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S)
informed that the lecture aimed to make the people aware of our National Flag as a symbol of the Nation's pride, hope, and aspirations of all people.
The National Flag holds a unique and special place in the emotion and psyche of the people of India, the PRO said, adding that a total of 30 students and locals attended the event.
Meanwhile, Somsai Battalion of IGAR(S) organised a lecture on Anti-Drug abuse under NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAAN at Poi village of Ukhrul district on Sunday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the interaction programme was participated by a total of 60 village youths and their
parents during which the participants took the solemn oath to fight against drug abuse and work towards the nation-building process.
The local populace applauded the efforts made by Assam Rifles for organising the event and requested to frequently conduct more such lectures for the benefit of the youth and students, the PRO added.
