AR holds security, CSO meet

Sajik Tampak Battalion of IGAR (S) conducted a security meeting at Sajik Tampak village in Chandel district on Saturday which was attended by presidents and secretaries of Kana Chief Association, Kana Students' Organisation, Zou Sangnaopang Pawlpi, United Zou Organisation, village heads and the local villagers of the Kana area.
During the meeting, participants were briefed on the ongoing security situation in the Kana area and an indepth discussion held on the holistic development of the Kana area and steps required to synergise the efforts of the locals and Assam Rifles, said PRO IGAR (S).
As a prelude to Independence Day safety, the participants were exonerated to keep an eye on their respective villages, flag any nefarious activities carried out by the insurgents and assist the security forces.
In addition, any help required by the villagers and CSOs was also asked, the PRO said in a release, adding that the locals assured their commitment and assistance in maintaining peace in the
area.
Meanwhile, Keithelmanbi Battalion of HQ IGAR (S) organised CSO meet at Lilong in Thoubal district on Saturday during which various initiatives towards youth empowerment, security and education were discussed and deliberated upon to put in place sustained and coordinated efforts towards the same.
