State BJP chief pitches for strengthening party

Imphal, July 07 2021: While stressing the need for strengthening the party and enhancing its profile by reaching out to all sections of the society, BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sarda has urged the people to contribute their mite in ensuring that every assembly constituency is represented by BJP MLA to make Manipur a leading state in every aspect.

Speaking during the Bal-idan Divas programme held in connection with the observance of 68th death anniversary and 120th birth anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee by BJP Imphal East and Lamlai Mandal at Khurai Leima Hill, Sheijang on Wednesday, Sarda also emphasised on spreading awareness on various schemes of the government of India so that public could avail them.

The programme was marked by offering of floral tributes to the photo of Dr Mukherjee and planting of 1000 tree saplings.

BJP Manipur Pradesh Training Department co-ordinator Minabanta; Imphal East District president L Kamini; former BJP candidate from Lamlai AC Kh Ibomcha; BJP Lamlai Mandal president E Amitkumar; general secretary L Shyam and Lamlai Kendra Covid-19 Awareness and Enforcement Committee chairperson A Jamini were also present during the programme.
