DA withdrawal signs of better L&O: Sharda

The withdrawal of "Disturbed Area" status from some areas of the state by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah is a proven example of the improving law and order situation in Manipur, BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda has stated.
Addressing a press meet held at Thambal Shanglen of BJP office here on Friday, Sharda remarked that it is a joyous moment as the new BJP government is able to fulfill its promises made to the people in the shortest time after taking over power on March 21 .
The BJP government had also released a 100 days action plan, she recalled.
"Although the promise for withdrawal of AFSPA was not mentioned during the election campaign, union home minister Amit Shah saw to the withdrawal of the "disturbed area" status from some parts of Manipur and two other northeastern states.
This is a sign that the law and order situation is gradually improving in the region, including Manipur," she stated.
Sharda then said that BJP is and will continue to respect the wishes and sentiments of the people, while appreciating PM Modi and union home minister Amit Shah with regard to the decision taken by the state cabinet on Thursday under the leadership of CM Biren.
She continued: "BJP will always stand for the welfare and development of the people.
Thus, the government has already announced the list of officials to facilitate in the effective implementation of the 100 days action plan.
The government and the party workers have also worked out an understanding for extending cooperation for the above purpose" .
