Assembly begins today; 7 bills to be introduced

Imphal, August 19 2021:
The 13th session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly will commence from Friday with the government preparing to introduce seven bills on the first day of the three-day session, which will begin with obituary reference.
On the first day, CM Biren will also table the 16th Report of Business Advisory Committee, 2021 along with two other Committee reports.
The government will also introduce seven bills in the House including 'Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021'; 'Manipur Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021'; 'Manipur Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Third Amendment) Bill, 2021'; 'Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2021'; 'Manipur Legislature (Removal of Disqualification) (Sixth Amendment) Bill, 2021'; 'Manipur (Court) (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021' and The Manipur Shops and Establishment (Regulation of Employment and Condition of Service) Bill, 2021'.As per the Business Advisory Committee decision on the 13th session, there will be no sitting on August 21 and 22 as they fall on Saturday and Sunday with August 23-24 being the next two sittings for the session during which various agenda will be taken up in the Assembly.
