JSCC announces election rules

Joint Students' Co-ordination Committee (JSCC) has announced a set of rules to be complied by the candidates of the ensuing college student's union election.
In a press statement, JSCC said that no candidate is allowed to conduct election campaign inside college campus after election code of conduct is enforced.
However they are allowed to display an A4 size poster to introduce themselves to the students.
The press statement said that no candidate is allowed to organise parties, tea parties, cinema shows, picnics, study tours, distribute cash and any item as gift, eatables, alcoholic beverages and any other intoxicants.
Saying that no outsider is allowed to conduct election campaign inside the college campus, the press statement said that anybody who visits the college for official purpose is however permissible.
The committee has also banned electioneering by visiting students' houses and picking up of students from their respective houses on the election day.
No candidate is allowed to stay in the office of college student's union in the night.
The press statement added that any member or office bearer of JSCC and its units is not permitted to become inner agent, proposer, secondary and counting agent of any candidate.
Any candidate who fails to comply with the said rules would be asked to withdraw his/her candidature, the press statement said and added that any candidate who wins the election using unfair means would be asked to resign.
