FECOCTA stir from Nov 29

Imphal, November 27 2021:
FEGOCTA on Saturday announced to start democratic protests from November 29, stating that the authorities concerned have failed to issue 7th UGC Pay Slips.
In its press release, the state college teachers' body said, "As the authorities concerned failed to issue 7th UGC Pay Slips by the November 27, 2021 deadline given by FEGOCTA, the government college teachers will start democratic protests from November 29.The college teachers will protest by wearing black badge from November 29 to December 4.Sit-in protests will take place from December 6 to 9 from 1 pm in respective colleges.
It will be followed by mass casual leave from December 10 to 11.If no 7th UGC Pay Slips were not issued by December 11, the college teachers will boycott all classes both online and offline from December 13 .
Boycott of the classes will continue until the 7th UGC Play Slips are issued" .
FEGOCTA further said that the decisions were taken in its executive meeting held on November 26 .
The meeting expressed regret that the college teachers have been compelled to hold agitation for the seventh time as demanding implementation of the 7th UGC Pay & regulations 2018 since September 2019 is unprecedented in history, it added.
Maintaining that implementation of national policy of UGC is crucialfor transformation of "present disturbing collegiate education in Manipur", the college teachers' body appealed to all the authorities concerned to "act fast and avoid disturbance in academic activities in the colleges in Manipur" .
It added, "The government college teachers in Manipur are feeling discriminated and demoralised due to deprivation of even their complete salary.
The allowances of SCA and TA have not been given for over 10 years.
Further state governments including Arunachal Pradesh and Assam implemented 7th UGC Pay in 2018 and 7th Pay of the other employees of Manipur government was implemented in 2019" .
