Imphal, December 22 2011:
ZYF (AMN) extend greetings to all the Zeliangrong people living in Assam, Manipur and Nagaland in particular and all the Christian communities in general on the coming of auspicious 'Christmas'.
In a press statement released by Titus Kamei, President of ZYF, Assam, Manipur and Nagaland, the ZYF "prays that the celebration of this auspicious festival brings happiness, joy and hope to the people of the trouble torn state".
It also appealed to the shop-keepers not to hike price of commodities and goods by taking advantage of the festival and innocent shoppers particularly coming from far flung areas and from hills districts.
They should rather extend help and guidance to their customers.
The ZY (AMN) further appealed to all organizations not to call any bandh or strike or road blockade during the occasion.
It also appealed to underground organizations not to shatter the peaceful atmosphere by the sound of gun firing which may dampen the spirit festive occasion and disrupt the peaceful holding of Christmas celebration.
