Imphal, August 02 2013 :
Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) and All Zeliangrong Students' Union have taken serious note over the nature of petroleum allocation carried out by the Government.
In a joint statement, the two Zeliangrong bodies pointed out that Tamenglong district has been totally left out while other districts of Manipur received their respective share.
Allocation for petrol and diesel have been made on different dates i.e.27th, 28th, 31st July, 1st Aug and 2nd August respectively but except for 8KL of diesel allocated on 31st july for D.Gaidingam Station, Noney, Tamenglong district has been denied of its regular shares despite the fact that of Petroleum products have been ferrying for distribution to the people of the State by providing heavy security incurring huge public money.
Leaving out Tamenglong district shows deprivation of the entitlement to the people of the district.
Petrol and diesel stock has been completely dried up at Tamenglong district for the last many days and the people remain silent hoping that allocation would be made for the district.
However, all the oil outlets located in Imphal valley are only found in the allocation list every time, the joint statement added.
