The mild natured animal was rescued by 2nd OC of Borobekara PS, S Lokendra in far away Jiribam Sub-Division as it was found straying near his office a few days back.
The cop handed over the animal to Romeo, a well known journalist of the Sub-Division.

Later, Romeo and PFA Thoubal decided to deport the loris through one Loken, a driver who is operating passenger service between Imphal and Jiribam.
PFA sent documents and guidelines regarding the transportation of the animal to Romeo.
It also requested Assam Riffles who are posted along the National Highway, to co-operate Oken in deporting the animal.
Oken told PFA that he found personnel of Assam Rifles awaiting to check the health of the animal enroute to Imphal.
Oken's vehicle arrived Imphal at the late afternoon of yesterday.
Even after traveling a long journey, the loris could not reach Thoubal the same day due to public protest at Lilong.
