Imphal, May 02 2012:
Reacting against the statement of Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh during a surrender programme held at HQ IGAR (S), the proscribed Revolutionary Peoples' Front (RPF) today in a statement observed that the ongoing revolutionary movement is not for demanding to uplift economy and development but for regaining the lost freedom of Manipur which Indian Union had forcefully snatched.
The outfit has also termed the surrender ceremony as a fake one with government gathering innocent persons by promising some mere benefits.
The statement further clarified all the so called cadres of PLA who participated in the surrender drama are not related with RPF or its armed wing PLA anymore.
All of them are ex cadres of PLA leading normal life since August 2005.It also added that the government cannot mislead the people of the state by organising such fake surrender dramas.
While intellectuals like GK Pillai had already admitted that India made a grave mistake by annexing forcefully Manipur who had a long history of being a sovereign country, public leaders in the state who have become more of a puppet in the hand of the Centre are not realising the truth or are not daring to say such truth which is very unfortunate for the people of the state.
It is also very unfortunate for the people of the state who have a long history of more than 5000 years of being a sovereign country to live under the colonial rule of the India.
Even though many revolutionary organisation bowed before the government under the net of peace talk, some true revolutionary organisations which have their firm ideology and goals will be fighting relentlessly till their goals are achieved, the statement added categorically.
