Gurgaon, May 02 2012:
Hailing the workers of the world, the people who earn their livelihoods through the sweat of their brows, the proscribed PREPAK (Pro) has also wished the working class of the people of Manipur on the occasion of May Day, which fell on May 1 .
In a statement issued to the press on April 30, the outfit said that May Day was an uprising against the ill treatment meted out to the workers of the world by the moneyed and privileged class and juxtaposed it with the present situation in Manipur, which has been brought about by the alien economic policy imposed by India.
Such a policy has given birth to a culture where the people have lost the sense of work culture and are looking for ways and means to lay their hands on easy money.
The selfish motive is the driving force in Manipur today, it further observed.
The workers of the land have a huge responsibility in bringing about positive changes in many spheres, from self reliance, development to regaining the lost 'sovereignty.' Perseverance, sacrifice and unity are the magic words to take part in the race for development, it added.
