Despite odd and hindrances, men in legal service should try their best to deliver justice to the people.
Manipur Legal Service Authority (MLSA) is also trying its best to justice to the people of the state.
This was conveyed by Justice Maibam Binoykumar of the Guahati High Court who is also the executive chairman of the MLSA today speaking in the MLSA' organized National Legal Services Day which was held at Cheirap court complex, Imphal like done in other parts of the country under the theme "Justice is truth".
Binoykumar further said that compared to the legal service authorities in other states of the country, the state service authority is facing shortest in various aspects.
The authority has no its own building, staff and other infrastructures apart from shortest of funds.
The authority has no its own separate member secretary.
Despite having its normal duty, the charge of member secretary is being bear by district session and judge.
This gives hindrance in the court proceedings, he observed.
Despite all this shortest, the Manipur Legal Service Authority is trying its best to avail its benefits to the people of the state, he claimed.
In connection with the observance of the day two lok adalats and legal clinic service were also conducted at the Cheirap court complex.
Judge of the family court, Ph Surendra was the presiding officer of the one of the lok adalat which advocates Ch Momon and retired PP, H Ibeyaima as members while judge of the revenue tribunal, K Bipinchandra was the presiding officer of the other adalat which advocate L Bijoy and advocate L Robrda as members.
The legal clinic was presided over by APP, Ng Tejkumar and advocates N Nilchandra, Ch Sundari and K Binodini were the counsels.
