Around 150 patients, most of them with critical cases, were treated during the two-day special OPD treatment organised by the Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals Information Centre at its head office, Kalyan Bhavan, Kwakeithel on November 7 and 8 last.
According to a statement issued by the advisor of AGH Information Centre, Daniel Leivon Lamkang and its chairman, AN Meitei, the treatment was administered by Apollo specialist doctors from Kolkata including Dr Rabin Chakraborty, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Electro-physiologist and his wife, Dr Arundhati Chakraborty, Consultant Clinical Oncology and Palliative Care.
Patients needing Angiography,related diseases, it added.
The Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals Information Centre has been recently opened and the centre started functioning since September.
The objective of the AGHIC is to help out patients by facilitating appointment, arranging stay arrangement, along with post-treatment follow-up schedules.
It also aims to provide special packages for open heart surgery, kidney transplantation and other complex surgeries for the people of Manipur at an affordable rate.
The statement added that any willing patients' party can consult AN Meitei, Chairman AGHIC, Imphal at the office located at Kalyan Bhavan, Kwakeithel opposite Kwakeithel Police Outpost, Imphal.
