Imphal, September 04 2022:
A state-level training programme on Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) Survey, 2022, India's largest citizen-led education survey, commenced from Sunday at DSSS, Mantripukhri.
The training programme, which will continue till September 8 and will be based on the 2011 census, is being participated by nine master trainers from across the state.
During the programme, the master trainers will further train around 30-60 volunteers in their respective districts to conduct Household Survey and to assess all children (5-16 years old) of their foundations on learning level-basic arithmetic, reading & English reading.
The survey will be conducted in 30 villages in each district of the rural areas in a random manner.
Around 20 households in each village having children between the age group of 3-16 will be visited for sample data collection related to children education.
The survey will be held all across the country from September to November, and the final report will be released in January next year along with ASER North East 2022.The training programme is being conducted by ASER Centre Team Manipur led by its Manipur state coordinator Yambem Chingshang Singh and associate Keisham Kishan Singh.
It may be noted that the ASER is an annual, citizen-led household survey that aims to understand whether children in rural India are enrolled in school and whether they are learning.
