Future of State lies in the hands of youths, says Z Kikhonbou

The future of Manipur and the ability of the State to take part in the race for development lies in the hands of the youths of the State, exclaimed Z Kikhonbou, MLA of Tamei A/C .
He was speaking as Chief Guest of the inaugural function of Sports Meet organized by Loungdung Sport Union at Tedlong (Nurathen) village under Tamei sub-division today.
The MLA pointed out that games and sports have been a part of social life of the people living in the hills since ancient time.
However, with the advent of Christianity, the value of sports among the people in the hills decline.
He observed that the people of North East who are Mongolians are far better than the average Indians in the field of sports.
So if the people of the NE are guided in the best possible way, no one would be able to beat India in the field of sports.
He also pointed out that it is the duty of the people of the State, more particularly the youths of the State, to develop the State.
We cannot just depend on Delhi for all round development of the State.
So in order to make the State participate in the race of development, the youths of the State have a large role to play.
He also highlighted the various development programmes being taken up in his constituency.
The Sports Meet is being participated by 11 clubs from 11 different villages.
