MSU decries media report

Maring Students' Union (MSU) has denounced the media report on clash between the people of Sora and Minou village as false and malicious with intent to flare up communal feelings.
In a statement issued by its President T Koruphun, the student body how could a large number of men armed with weapons go to Minou at night to compromise over the issue of killing of Dk.

The incident occurred when a large number of villagers from Sora, armed with weapons came towards Minou Village in some trucks, vans and other light vehicles through Khangshim village near Kakching Lamkhai at around 8 pm.
They went shouting that they would kill all the villagers including women and children.
But these people returned after reaching halfway for reasons best known to them.
On their way back, they had an encounter with the police and AR personnel at Kakching Lamkhai.
Gun shots were heard and the body of a boy was recovered from near the petrol pump at Kakching Lamkhai.
Two bike-borne youths of Langol Village who came from Pallel were also beaten up at a place in between Minou and Kakching Lamkhai before their encounter with the security personnel.
The two youths were then taken to Sora and detained for a long time at the Pradhan's house, the statement said.
MSU appealed to both the villagers of Sora and Minou to refrain from making provocative and inflammatory statements and actions.
At the same time, the student body also urged the government to book all the culprits involved in the killing of DK.
