Imphal, March 27 2022:
All Manipur Muslim's Organisation Coordination Committee (AMMOCOC) has cautioned of imposing counter blockade if the Nagaland government fails to take action against Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO), which is calling an indefinite blockade along the Imphal-Dimapur national highway.
Speaking to media persons at its office here on Sunday, AMMOCOC president SM Jalal termed as unfortunate and unwarranted imposition of indefinite blockade on the national highway, which is the lifeline of the people.
He denounced the objection raised to setting up of security post within the boundary of Manipur.
Lauding chief minister N Biren for his statement asserting that Manipur government will not compromise on the issue of state's territorial integrity, Jalal said that AMMOCOC will fully support the stand of the government.
CSOs, political parties and people of the state too should back the government on the issue, he added.
Jalal continued that SAPO should raise their demand to their government.
Nagaland government should take up action against the organisation for imposing indefinite blockade on the national highway which is the lifeline of the people.
SAPO should stop their blockade, or else, counter blockade will be imposed, he reiterated.
