Chief Minister N Biren Singh has conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur, especially Hindu brethren on the auspicious occasion of Kang (Rath Yatra).
"Kang festival is an occasion to remember God and clean our hearts, cultivate the character of humility, charity and compassion for all beings", said the CM in a message.
N Biren then prayed to Lord Jagannath to shower the State with joy, prosperity and peaceful co-existence among all communities.
Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker, Y Khemchand too wished the people of Manipur on the occasion of Kang.
CAF & PD Minister Karam Shyam too wished for the well-being of the people of the State on the occasion of Kang.
With the arrival of the holy festival, let us all pray for better times and overall development, said the Minister.
Information and Public Relations Minister, Th Biswajit Singh also conveyed his best wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion, which falls on July 4.A message of Th Biswajit conveyed that Kang begins on the second day of Engen (Manipuri lunar calendar) and is celebrated for 9 days and ends with the celebration of Kanglen on the 10th day of the lunar month.
The Minister prayed to Lord Jagannath to bless the State and its people with enough strength to fight off all evil.
