Assam Rifles conducts medical camp

A mega medical camp was organized at Pallel by Chandel Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (S) as part of Assam Rifles CAP to provide medical assistance to the remote villages of Chandel district, today.
The medical camp was held in continuation of the series of medical camps organised by 26 Sector Assam Rifles to cater for the medical needs of the people from far flung villages of Chandel district, which lack basic medical facilities, said a statement of IGAR (S).
The medical camps were earlier conducted in the month of June at remote villages of Anthi, Anal Khullen, Larong Khullen and Orphanage Home at Hnatham Village of Chandel district.
During these camps, the villagers were given advanced prescription for further medical consultation with specialists at a medical camp of Pallel.
Meanwhile, free health checkup was conducted by Medical Specialist, Eye Specialist, Gynaecologist, Dental, one ENT and Surgical Specialist from Shija, Jivan and Assam Rifles Hospital at Pallel in which over 273 villagers were given free primary and advance medical consultation, prescription and free medicines.
Chandel Battalion has also set to organise similar medical camps in remote villages of Machi Sub Division.
During the mega event, Commander 26 Sector Assam Rifles and Commandant Chandel Battalion interacted with the members of village authorities and ex-servicemen of Assam Rifles to ascertain their needs.
The villagers expressed their immense gratitude for organising the medical camp and for the constant support of Assam Rifles, it added.
