Bomb explosion in Ukhrul

Ukhrul, November 04 2014:
A loud explosion disrupted the quiet night in Ukhrul town when a bomb blast occurred adjacent to an office building of a financial company at Hamleikhong.
The blast occurred at around 7.40pm on Tuesday near the retaining wall of the office building of NEPFIC at Hamleikhong West in Ukhrul town.
No one was hurt in the blast.
However, the blast left a 6-inch diameter crater on the concrete footpath and few holes on the tin sheet put up as fence.
Locals in the neighborhood said the NSCN-IM cadres arrived at the spot early and collected samples from the blast site.
Police reported to the incident site an hour later and conducted a preliminary investigation.
On inspection of the site, the explosion was probably caused by a crude bomb.
The blast recurred after a lull of over a month in Ukhrul where the last incident at Neetu Glass shop in which two women lost their lives.
