Imphal, August 02 2019:
Apart from resorting to mass casual leave stir and staging of protest demonstration at JNIMS hospital campus today demanding time scale promotion, the Assistant Professors, Senior Residents and Associate Professors (APSRA) Committee, JNIMS, has announced that they will launch an indefinite cease work strike from tomorrow until their demands are fulfilled.
However, the committee clarified that exam duty, patient care and emergency service will be exempted from the indefinite ceasework strike.
Condemning the indifferent treatment of JNIMS authority towards the member of the committee despite giving verbal and written assurance on February 6, the president of the committee Ningthoujam Kumarjit told media persons that the committee has been mainly demanding time scale promotion of the teaching faculty at par with lecturers of other institutions.
Informing that time scale promotion had already been implemented for the SRs, he also said that such treatment towards other members will vitiate the working atmosphere.
The committee has been demanding time scale promotion of Assistant Professors, Senior Residents and Assistant Professors at par with their counterparts of other institutions and promotion of 50 percent of the sanctioned posts of the regular Senior Residents in the form of time scale promotion as done in RIMS.
