Imphal, May 24 2009:
The United Committee Manipur urged the state government to press the Central government in booking the criminals involved in the killing of Lungailu, a nurse from Manipur who was found murdered in suspicious manner last week at Delhi, and deliver fitting punishment to them.
A statement of the UCM signed by its information and public relations secretary, Kh Nilamani Kha-Nganba said that the disposal of the dead body as unclaimed body was not justifiable.
Saying that it was not the first instance wherein the state natives have suffered atrocities, the UCM also draws the attention of the state government to end such violence against the people.
