More Dengue cases detected at Moreh

Moreh, November 18 2021:
The border town of Moreh has been witnessing unprece-dented rise in dengue cases since the last few weeks.
As per reports received from the Special Malaria Unit at Moreh, the border town has already witnessed 53 cases of Dengue till yesterday.
Locality wise, Chavang-phai reported the highest Dengue cases with 24.Currently, there are seven active Dengue cases at Moreh Hospital.
To contain the outbreak, a team of Special Malaria Unit is reportedly carrying out fogging drives at places where the cases were detected.
On the other hand, vice chairman of Chavangphai administrative committee, Thangkhomang Khongsai stated that Dengue cases are being reported from Chavangphai at an alarming rate.
Saying that Dengue cases continue to rise in his locality despite the Malaria unit carrying out fogging drives occasionally, he urged the Government to intervene and do the needful at the earliest.
Many who don't have financial resources to go to hospital are being treated at their respective homes, he added.
