Seminar on role IQAC reaccreditation in colleges held

Imphal, February 16 2011:
A two-day state level seminar on the "Role of IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) in reaccreditation of affiliated colleges" began today at lecture hall of the DM College of Science today.
RK Ranjan, director of College Development, Manipur University graced as chief of the opening function of the seminar which was presided by Dr P Ranbir, principal of the DM College of the Science.
Former principals of the college, G Tomba Sharma, Th Bedamani and Dr A Kananbala attended as guests of honour.
In his speech as chief guest, RK Ranjan said that when the competition world is at its limit, only 12% students in the country could avail high level education.
Inspite of shortfall in infrastructures, colleges of the state has to participate in the competition.
Keeping this mind, college reaccreditation will be taken up in the state too he said adding that opening of IQAC in each college has become a must for an effective reaccreditation.
Colleges also need to maintain records sincerely, he added.
The seminar is participating by principals and lecturers of various colleges of the state.
