Vote counting By-election to being tomorrow

Imphal, February 16 2011:
Counting of votes in connection with the by-election to 18-Konthoujam Assembly Constituency which was held on February 14 would begin from 7 am tomorrow.
The counting would be carried out in three rounds.
According to information received from the State Election Department, in the first and the second round, the counting would be carried over in 10 tables while 8 tables will be used in the third round.
The EVMs containing the details of the by-election are being kept in the strong room of the office of Imphal West Deputy Commissioner with round the clock surveillance by a dedicated team with the help of CCTVs.
It is said that if the seals on any of the EVMs are found broken, the votes from that particular EVMs would not be counted.
